Baby Phoebe | Newborn Photography Melbourne

 I love connecting with each of my newborns I photograph – all so different with little personality traits and likes and dislikes. Watching them as they drift into a deep sleep, dreaming of something beautiful and adoring all their unique facial expressions. They do say that babies are such time wasters – but what a lovely way to waste time….

Meet sweet little Phoebe  - such an adorable baby. Her Daddy missed out on her first session due to work so we caught up again yesterday for a few photos in the studio in Daddy’s hands { Kristie & Darren – so lovely to meet you both – your little girl is just beautifu – enjoy}

How gorgeous is the above image – makes me smile every time I see it!  Little Phoebe decided to be quite alert and awake during part of her session – she seems to be looking out the window and smiling! How adorable is that!

Mr Darcy & Georgie Girl | Children’s Photographer Melbourne

One of my favourite types of sessions would have to be my ‘modern country’ children’s location sessions. I actually grew up on a few acres with a cow, a horse, dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, chickens, a lamb (anything else mum??) To be honest I am not really an outdoorsy type of person as my parents still like to remind me ! – much more a creative type but obviously growing up with a country childhood must of rubbed off on me as it is starting to show in my work.  I just love choosing a gorgeous location, add some cute clothing, a few props and you end up with something gorgeous and different.

I met up with two year old Georgia and her brother Darcy for an update mini session at one of my favorite locations. This is the third time I have photographed this family – I love seeing how much they have grown. On all previous occasions Darcy has not wanted to be my friend with me and my camera but persistence must be paying off as I managed to capture his cheeky smile this time! Little Georgia is just adorable and looks so sweet in these images as she wandered around the orchard. {Stasia – so lovely to catch up with you and the kids again – so happy that I finally managed to get  a smile from Darcy this time!! Talk soon xLOL)

Baby Alice | Newborn Photography Melbourne

Sweet little Alice – such a gorgeous girl and a welcome addition after the string of baby boys I have photographed lately in the studio.  So tiny with such beautiful girly features  - from her sweet little pouty lips to her adorable hairline – deep down my heart still aches for a baby girl of my own.  Luckily for me although I have finished my own family I have a fabulous job thats enables me to spend a few hours meeting these gorgous new souls and capturing them in all their beauty for generations to enjoy –  how great is that!

Little Alice was 11 days old and just slept and slept for her entire session – no crying, no grizzling, no mess  - must be a girl thing – she knew she had to look perfect for her photography debut! {Thank-you Luke & Jess for bringing your adorable baby girl in to see me – she is just devine. Will be in touch once your gallery is completed – can”t wait to show you the rest! }

Stayed tuned also for some gorgeous new products for newborn babies – including many beautiful birth announcements, cards and image boxes. I will soon release a new package designed especially for newborn babies in the next few weeks – it is going to be beautiful x  Email me for more information if you are interested.

Client Sneak Peek – Baby Blake | Newborn Photographer Melbourne

I love it when I get to visit a family that I have previously taken their photos – it is so great to see how much that gorgeous newborn, baby or child has grown. When Drew and Amanda contacted me to let me know that their 3rd boy had arrived it was so great to catch up with them again (and of course I have a soft spot for ‘3 boys!’LOL). Just over a year ago I photographed their two boys James and Zac and just recently had the pleasure of capturing their newest little arrival Blake. Normally I always recommend scheduling a newborn session when your baby is between 7-12 days old as this way we can be sure that they will be very easy to settle and curl into positions. Gorgeous little Blake was just on 3 weeks and wouldn’t you know after being Mr sleepy for the first 2 + weeks of his life he decided to stay awake for most of his session! But with a full belly and a few other tricks he could party  no more and fell in a deep sleep for the rest of his session.  Drew & Amanda – thank-you so much for inviting me to capture your newest little boy – he is just adorable. Next time James will love me – I just know it!LOL Never one to give up!

‘My Girls’ | Children’s Photographer Melbourne

As I have three boys of my own it is always nice to have some gorgeous girls in my life – to dress up, play with their hair and have a girly chat. My gorgeous nieces Jasmine and Emma are ‘my girls’ and I absolutely adore them. Jasmine is the precious one – a slight princess, doesn’t like to get dirty, very high maintenance (hmm starting to sound like myself as a child!) while Emma is the complete opposite grubby, pulls her beautiful hair out in 10 seconds and is super easy going ( very much like my sister as child!) It always amazes my sister and I how the girls personalities are also so similar to my own first two – Lachlan  and Cooper. Currently I am begging on my knees for my sister to have another baby  - can you imagine the fun I would have taking it’s newborn photos!! Her girls are just beatiful – how could you stop at 2!!LOL

The gorgeous t-shirt that Jasmine is wearing can be found at www.cradlejam.com.au
 and was generously on loan for a photography session.  I had big plans for a session featuring this gorgeous apple t-shirt but due to my crazy schedule and the weather it just didn’t happen so a quick session in the studio was the best I could do.  Jasmine loved this top so much she begged me to buy it for her – she may just twist my arm! You can also find other items from this label at www.madeit.com.au
