Twins Kassidy & Connor | Newborn Photographer Melbourne

Imagine waiting 14 years, imagine traveling over the other side of the world, imagine the relief and tears of joy when you finally hold your precious and healthy babies and bring them back home. These beautiful babies have been on an amazing journey – born in India by a surrogate. Their gorgeous mum has waited so long for her  babies and has had to travel to the other side of the world to have her dream realized. Born at 34 weeks these fraternal twins, Connor and Kassidy were 6 weeks old at their session.  My gorgeous friend and fellow photographer Jen from Seeds Photography was there to give me a hand in settling these little bubs as capturing twins can be a slight handful! Being 6 weeks old although prem these little ones were sleepy but easily disturbed.  It was so cute to see Kassidy very laid back and chilled while her little brother Connor made it known what he did and didn’t like! It was so beautiful to witness the calm the babies felt as soon as they were in their mamma’s arms and to witness just how much they are loved by their family.  Their story will be featured in the November issue of Little One Baby Magazine which I also have been privileged enough to work for as a photographer in the last couple of months which has been super exciting!

Together in life forever….

Kristie & Big Sister Brianna – it was my absolute joy to capture your precious babies for you. Their story is amazing. I wish you all the happiness with your beautiful babies. Enjoy :)

The Stylist and The Photographer | Melbourne Photographer

This session was so much FUN!!   Meagan who is a personal stylist came over, styled my clothes, did my hair and make up and then off we went to the Abbotsford Convent for a photography session.  For clients who don’t feel too comfortable in front of a camera I seriously feel your pain – I am hopeless when a camera is pointed in my direction, get all self conscious and start doing this horrible thing with my mouth! Just awful. BUT I am determined to push myself and if nothing else will eventually start to like it and hope to hell after all the shots we take one of them might be ok!! Towards the end I think I started to feel more comfortable but by that stage Meagan had me in a vintage dress that I am none too sure about showing the world quite yet!

On the other hand put me behind the camera and I am in my element – I normally photograph babies and children where I have to have loads of patience, a ton of silliness and take photos on the run. I enjoyed photographing Meagan as I could perfect the lighting, direct and be really creative while having fun – loved it! I think I may have found a new passion! We braved the freezing weather  and had such a laugh !

I first met Megan last year when she came to me for some updated shots for her new website.  I have also hired Meagan for a personal styling shopping trip – it was so fantastic – she taught me how to dress for my body type, colours that suit my skin tones and the skills to buy the right items when shopping. I now how the skills to go shopping with three boys in tow and still come away with everything I wanted in a very short time!   Going shopping with Meagan is like shopping with your best girlfriend – she is warm, funny, and to be quite honest one of the loveliest people I have met in a while. She is also a dag at heart and does not take her self seriously as you can see.  Once this girl gets going  - she is seriously a cheeky diva for the camera! These photos are so her – love them

So if you stand at your wardrobe every morning thinking I have nothing to wear or go to the shops and come home with either nothing or bags of clothes that just do not go together I highly recommend contacting the lovely Meagan. You will have the best time with her and come away with not only some great clothes but some new found confidence. You can see her website at http://www.meaganharding.com.au/ or her blog at www.stylefarm.meaganharding.com.au/

Baby Phoebe | Newborn Photography Melbourne

 I love connecting with each of my newborns I photograph – all so different with little personality traits and likes and dislikes. Watching them as they drift into a deep sleep, dreaming of something beautiful and adoring all their unique facial expressions. They do say that babies are such time wasters – but what a lovely way to waste time….

Meet sweet little Phoebe  - such an adorable baby. Her Daddy missed out on her first session due to work so we caught up again yesterday for a few photos in the studio in Daddy’s hands { Kristie & Darren – so lovely to meet you both – your little girl is just beautifu – enjoy}

How gorgeous is the above image – makes me smile every time I see it!  Little Phoebe decided to be quite alert and awake during part of her session – she seems to be looking out the window and smiling! How adorable is that!

Baby Jack | Newborn Photography Melbourne

Sweet little Jack – such a gorgeous little boy with an extra special name that is close to my heart. As I held him in my arms at the start of his session rocking him back and forth while he gazed at me with his eyes wide open speaking softly to him, his gaze so intent it hit home how special and beautiful my job is to spend time with these new little souls …. Clients always comment on how patient I am when photographing newborns but capturing the  beauty for generations to enjoy just can’t be rushed…

{Shae & Troy – thank-you for bringing in little Jack – he is just so adorable – enjoy the ride that parenthood brings!}
