New Photography Prop {Children’s Photographer Melbourne}

Just had to show off my new photography prop that I came across today at Target.  It is one of those old fashioned metal cars that little boys love.  Grabbed my non willing model with running nose and all and took a few photos.  This may come in handy when dealing with non co-operative two year olds – although I will have to try and borrow it off Jack who has claimed it as his own!  {For my photography friends or any mums in general – this was bought today at Target for only $20 – reduced from $89.95.  Not sure if all Targets are selling these but I did find it at Westfield Plenty. Great Bargin – although I nearly had a heart attack trying to put it together but then again I just not good at DIY!}

This is what TRUE LOVE means! {Melbourne Photographer}

Today my husband and I are celebrating our 9th wedding anniversay.  Can’t belive that nine years have passed so quickly!  In that time we have had three beautiful boys, renovated and sold our first home, bought our second home and run two businesses – Luke has a plumbing business and I have my photography business! I have been with Luke since I was 17 – so thats nearly half of my life considering I am turning 32 in a few weeks.  He is my world, my rock and I adore him with all my heart awahh!!LOL

Anyway just wanted to show you what ‘true love’ on your wedding anniversary means -  this is what I found on the kitchen bench for me this morning.  He went to  the effort of picking a heap of fresh roses from our garden, arranged them in a glass from the kitchen and wrote a gorgeous note on a piece of paper and then actually cut the note in the shape of a love heart!  Wow – thats effort (especially the love heart shape!).  This is coming from a man who is a tradie and doesn’t use his feminine  side very much!  Love you baby xx  Looking forward to going out tonight for dinner with no kids!

Next year when we celebrate our 10th anniversary we are planning on a very romantic and well deserved break on an island somewhere gorgeous and I will be getting my eternity ring that I have waited 10 years for.  Luke wanted to know what he will be getting but he has me – what more does he want!LOL

And whats a post without a photo?  These photos are of my baby Jack in the last few months.  I am aiming to take a couple of photos a month edited in the same way to make a beautiful book at the end of the year to celebrate him growing up in the year 2009.  I hope to do this each year with all of my three boys (wish me luck!)

Beaten By a Two Year Old! {Children’s Photographer Melbourne}

Not long ago I photographed the gorgeous little Zac and his two year old brother James. Poor James hated the sight of my camera so we didn’t get too many smiles on the day nor did we get a family shot of the four of them (we had to settle on a family of three!) Amanda and Drew decided they would like me to try again for another session as we thought perhaps James might be used to me etc. Well – yep I admit it – I have been defeated in this case! Normally kids love me but in poor James case he really really hates cameras. I was glad to hear that it wasn’t just me and my camera – it’s actually any camera pointed in the direction of him!) At least we got a photo of the whole family this time and of course some more gorgeous shots of beautiful little Zac. {Amanda & Drew – thanks for having me over for another try – Please give me a call when James overcomes his camera phobia and I’II definitely give it another go – maybe third time lucky?}
