Waiting for something wonderful | Maternity Photography Melbourne

I still remember the many months before I had my first baby Lachlan like it was yesterday. I remember the feeling of being so elated after falling pregnant on our first try, the months of morning sickness, the beautiful out of this world feeling of those wonderful kicks in my belly – which I still actually miss to this day, the decorating of the nursery, buying all those tiny clothes and smiling as I watched them dry on the line, the hopes and the dreams of how wonderful our life would be when we finally became a family. I actually loved being pregnant with my first baby – there is something so wonderful and magical about it. I used to sit in my gorgeous nursery, sing to my baby “you are my sunshine”(my boys still love that song) and dream what was to come. Second time around it was alot harder as I had a 2 and a half year old to deal with and third time was a complete nightmare with severe morning sickness until around 27 weeks pregnant! I really looked forward to starting my maternity leave with my first and having the time to rest and prepare for the arrival of our beautiful baby.

Maternity photos are such a wonderful reminder of this special time in your life. I never actually had any professional images taken when I was pregnant but I did take a photo every week for each of my three pregnancies. I love looking through that album, seeing how much my body changed and so do my boys.

Tina is expecting her first baby with her husband Shane and has such a gorgeous baby belly. She just positively glowed with three weeks to go until she meets her beautiful baby. I can’t wait to meet her little one (I’II guess a girl) - enjoy the last couple of weeks catching up with friends, sleeping in, watching Oprah and having a cuppa as it will be quite some time before you can do this again

Sweet 10 day old little Kaan – so adorable with his beautiful pouty lips and all that gorgeous hair. After looking at these images I can see he looks like such a mixture of his Mummy & Daddy. His Daddy was a bit worried about little Kaan being hairier then himself at the moment but rest assured most times all that gorgeous baby fuzz will eventually fall out

Perhaps I am biased as I am his aunty but my sweet nephew Jake is just so adorable! I really love this age – when they can sit but not quite crawling, their sweet soft creamy skin and chunky belly and legs. Jake is normally so happy and full of smiles but on this day he was so serious – no smiles for even his mummy! I actually adore serious poses – something about that intent innocent stare that gets me every time. Love you little Jake – Glenn & Heather hope you enjoy these images of your gorgeous little man!

Finally received my copy of Little One Design & Style annual issue in todays post – could have almost hugged my postie!! You may still not find it in until later this week in newsagents – I actually dragged the kids to 5 different ones over the weekend with no luck!lol

Such a gorgeous publication and I am super excited to be involved. Thank you also to Simone and little Jake who is pictured below and to the lovely ladies I met and photographed for this edition.

Little One Baby has to be one of my favourite magazines. It’s the kind that you can’t wait to buy, would never throw out and could read it over and over. I had always admired the gorgeous way it was put together, the glossy pages and the inspiring stories and photos of beautiful nurseries ( almost makes me want to have another just to decorate!) So you can imagine how excited I was to be asked that a few of my images were to be included in the new issue Little One Design & Style Annual issue. This issue goes on sale this Saturday the 14th of August for Victoria and NSW with all other states a week later. Can’t wait to get my hands on this one and see my images and advert in print ! Looking forward to working with this magazine for future issues and photographing some gorgeous nurseries
